Photo access
Why can’t I see every photo?
Open iOS Settings → Apps → LightRoll → Photos. Choose Full Access to organize your whole library, or keep Selected Photos and update the items you authorize.
Can I use LightRoll with Selected Photos?
Yes. LightRoll supports both Full Access and Selected Photos. You can change the selection or permission level at any time in iOS Settings.
Cleanup and deletion
Why is an item still in Photos after I add it to Trash Review?
Trash Review is a safe, on-device queue. Open My Library → Trash Review, review the items, confirm final deletion, and then confirm the iOS system prompt.
Can I recover deleted media?
Items deleted through iOS usually move to Recently Deleted in the Photos app. Retention and recovery are controlled by iOS.
Does removing LightRoll delete my photos?
No. Removing the app may remove LightRoll’s local organization records, but it does not delete media from your Apple Photos library.
Privacy and payment
Does LightRoll upload my photos?
No. Browsing, organization, and smart groups run on-device. iOS may download originals from iCloud Photos through Apple services, but LightRoll never uploads media to our servers.
Do I need an account or payment?
No. LightRoll has no account, ads, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid features.
